A solid foundation for success starts with Maple Lake's Wee Irish Preschool
Learning is a social process involving play, exploration, and interaction. At Maple Lake Wee Irish Preschool, we recognize that each child has unique strengths that are built upon daily. Your child will learn skills needed for kindergarten such as sharing, listening, cooperation, and develop the confidence to succeed in school. A good quality preschool will give your child(ren) a well-rounded education through a balance of free play and well-planned, adult-guided play, and at Wee Irish Preschool we do just that.
Maple Lake Preschool 3s: Children must be 3 years old or older by Sept. 1, 2025, AND toilet trained. Three year olds are full of wonder and spend a lot of time watching, observing, and imitating. Their imagination is working at all times. They are particularly interested in perfecting their fine motor skills that they once found it challenging when they were two years old. A three-year-old loves to pour, mix, mash and squeeze. The gross motor skill development of this age group will work on balance, coordination and strength, skills such as hopping, climbing and skipping are activities that the child loves to practice and are incorporated into preschool activities. One of the favorite words during this period is asking “why?” Three years old want to know what causes the events around them. They will also learn to listen to the explanations of others with interest.
Maple Lake Preschool 4s & 5s Is for students who are 4 years of age by Sept. 1, 2025 AND toilet trained. 4 and 5 yr old preschool is an integrated program providing high quality learning experiences for our pre-kindergarten students. At this age, children are exploring and learning to express emotions. They do this in many ways – for example: talking, using gestures, noises and in play. We offer several classes with morning and an afternoon options available. (see class information below) Our Wee Irish Preschool program is designed for the next step -- Kindergarten!
