K-4 grade Strike and Steal class
A program for boys and girls that is full of excitement, exercise and structured play. Dodgeball is played by throwing soft balls at people in a square court. The goal is to be the last one to be hit with the ball. Players may only throw balls at people who are not on their own team. If a player is hit by the ball, he or she should go to the outside of the court and wait until a member of your team catches a ball thrown by the opposing team.
In Capture the Flag, two teams compete to capture each other's flag and return it to their own base without being tagged. Players are tagged if they enter the opposing team's territory and are caught. Tagged players go to "jail" until rescued by a teammate. Once a team successfully captures the opponent's flag and brings it back to their base, they win.
Throughout the course of this class, we will learn the basics of following game rules, playing fair, while having fun with our friends. Rules of the game will be adjusted to suite the students registered for this class.
