Maple Lake Public School

Maple Lake Community Education gives youth an opportunity to continue to learn and grow outside of school. We believe in approaching curriculum from a creative perspective, letting “kids be kids” throughout the learning process. Participants will enjoy the opportunity to explore learning in ways that best suit their interests and abilities. Our programs are designed to introduce curriculum in a fun, positive environment.

Community Ed- 4th Grade Boys Basketball (ended)
#: #0420   ID:    Section: B20F
This is an opportunity to have your 4th grade student experience what basketball is like. In this program, players will practice once a week and play other teams in a 'to be determined' location each week. Current possible game locations will be local towns, no long distance travel, for example area hosts will be Annandale, HLWW, Kimball and home games. Parental transportation is required to all practices and games. No parents will be allowed in the gym during practices. Players will receive a Jersey and Shorts.

Registration deadline: Monday, November 1st!

Teams will be considered full when 10 kids are registered and have 1 coach. If a team is full, a wait list will form until another team can be made.  Once the number of coaches are known, we will set the number of teams. There will be a maximum of 10 players per team. Once a team is filled, a waiting list will be created with hopes additional coaches will volunteer.
1 coach + 10 players  = 1 team. We would love to have 2 coaches per team, if you are interested in shared coaching responsibility, please let me know.

Practice dates will vary depending on coach availability. No Practice on Wednesdays.  Practices are (tentatively) set to begin the week of November 16th

The plan as of now:
2 Games on Saturdays, schedules will be set at a later time.
Limited to 1-2 spectators per player, limited seating and no concessions at this time.
Standings will be kept

Please understand at this time, we are doing our best, due to COVID-19 restrictions, scheduling limitations and trying to plan for future events we are unsure of what basketball will exactly look like for the coming weeks. We will make every effort to keep people updated with information and make every effort to have a season.

If you have questions, are interested or know someone interested in coaching, please call me at 320-963-5991 or email me at
