Maple Lake Irish 5th & 6th Grade Youth Recreation Tackle Football League- Fall 2024
Maple Lake Community Education will be offering a youth football program for students entering 5th and 6th-grade in the Fall- 2024. Maple Lake Irish 5th & 6th grade tackle football practice will start Tuesday, August 20 from 6:00-7:15 PM. The program’s purpose is to learn the fundamentals of the game, teach children to develop respect for themselves and others, build self-esteem, develop physical skills, and a provide a team experience that teaches life lessons and skills, along with having fun! There will be an
"Under the Lights" game for 6th grade Football.
Practices: Practices will take place on Tuesdays and Thursday evenings from 6:00 - 7:15 pm.
Maple Lake is part of the Wright County Tackle Football League. There is traveling involved and parents/guardians are responsible for transportation to and from all practices and games each week.
League game dates begin September 7 and end Saturday, October 12. All games are played on Saturday mornings at various locations. A league schedule will be set and distributed once finalized!

- August 13- equipment fitting session/hand out
- August 20: First practice 6:00-7:15 PM at the 7th/8th grade football field (back of school)
Registration Fee covers: $110.00 includes a long sleeve Irish Football shirt (to keep) use of football helmet, pads, black integrated football pants and jersey, league fees, field use fees, and referee cost per game. PARENTS.... PLEASE UPDATE YOUR CHILDS T-SHIRT SIZE WHEN REGISTERING!!!!
In the past, families have had to purchase their own football pants, Community Education purchased integrated football pants and are included as part of your registration fee!! 5th/6th grade tackle football registration fee will include use of pads, mouthguard, helmet, black integrated football pants, and jersey.
One note** If a player loses their mouthguard- it is at the discretion of the parents to purchase a new one. A mouth guard is required to play in our league!
Again this year, we have decided to not have families turn in a separate "equipment rental" deposit check however, IF YOUR EQUIPMENT IS NOT RETURNED AFTER THE FOOTBALL SEASON, MAPLE LAKE SCHOOLS WILL BILL YOU FOR A FULL RENTAL FEE!!!!! Full rental fee includes helmet, pads, football pants and jersey at a cost of $300.00 for the replacement fee! PLEASE turn in equipment after the tackle season is over! Players and their parents are responsible for keeping track of equipment (helmet/pads) and clothing (jersey/pants) throughout the season.

Return to your coach on the last game day
Please bring a change of clothes to the game so your player can return their helmet, pads, pants and jersey to the coach prior to leaving on the last game day!!
